Ill summarize what it means.. I encyclopedia-ed it.
Here is what it says :
Parkour
is an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment—from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls—and can be practiced in both rural and urban areas.
Founded by David Belle in France, parkour focuses on practicing efficient movements to develop one's body and mind to be able to overcome obstacles in an emergency.
Overview
Parkour has no set of rules, team work, formal hierarchy, or competitiveness. It is an art or discipline that resembles self-defense in the ancient martial arts.
According to David Belle, "the physical aspect of parkour is getting over all the obstacles in your path as you would in an emergency. You want to move in such a way, with any movement, as to help you gain the most ground on someone or something, whether escaping from it or chasing toward it." Thus, when faced with a hostile confrontation with a person, one will be able to speak, fight, or flee. As martial arts are a form of training for the fight, parkour is a form of training for the flight. Because of its unique nature, it is often said that parkour is in its own category.
An important characteristic of parkour is efficiency.
Ok back to myself typing. The rest of the Boring details are really not necessary.. LOL
But you check out yourself http://www.reference.com/browse/parkour
The movements involved in Parkour really really really inspire me to move and jump about, but maybe i can blame it on my sudden brain wave of activities, where i just dont see myself even performing such stunts. LOL
But, trust me, i watched "casino royale", there was a scene in the movie of this african american guy running away from "james bond".
What wow-ed me was how the guy managed to jump right through a gapping hole! Totally amazing...... here's the link if you wish to watch it..
Its the entire scene.
I kind of tried doing parkour at the playground we were at today. LOL..
Like today we were playing crocodile, and after i was not the crocodile, i tried "pretending" i had the ability to climb high up, to prevent myself from being tagged during the game.
Above is another video of Parkour..
Argh, i hate it when i cant find the exact Video i saw yesterday on YouTube. =.=

spend some time learning languages instead.
and. the madonna video is like one year already! which means that madonna picked up the trend at least 2ish years ago, which means that the world is slow, and youre part of the mainstream who waits for the alternative to slowly filter in. ;>
