My Bloody Valentine

Gosh. Posters can be so deceiving i tell you. By looking at the above advertisements, you would at least have a first thought that this movie must be EXTREMELY terrifying.. Quite the contrary. Maybe it was the person i was watching the movie with or something, but we both found the movie hilarious.. *sick* Or maybe i should say, parrot was screaming, and i was laughing at him for screaming. Lol. 

Anyway, movie overall, was really not to my expectations. Seriously, i expected and wanted myself to have sore throat the next day from watching "My Bloody Valentine" due to the fact i thought i would be screaming my lungs out. 

But still, movie was entertaining. Dang, those bloody scenes were really hard to swallow. I mean, for one, i knew those we props. But still, the blood, the opened up bodies, the internal organs being exposed was definitely an attention grabber. 

There was one scene where a couple was doing it (winks, you know what i mean), the guy walked out to his truck, and the lady, NAKED, ran out after him holding a gun in one hand.. I wasn't really prepared for that scene.. But you know, im open minded, so whatever i see, hear, i absorb.. So it wasn't a big deal.. Besides, the movie was M18. 

Was pretty excited about my very first cinema M18 movie yesterday. That i started worrying that i may not even go simply because i am not officially 18. Thank god they didnt ask for IDs.. haha.. Or else $13 would just fly away. 

13 dollars because we caught the 3D one instead of the 2D. The worst part of 3D is, because i am already short-sighted, it was like putting on another pair of glasses. So during the entire movie, my nose hurt like hell. Which was almost a distraction. Hahaha. Just imagine, i was already wearing spects, and on top of that,i had to put on the 3D glasses.. =.=" 

The after movie part. I bloody hell spent all my money in the 2 outings with Parrot. 20 dollars directed to topping up my Ezlink because im paying freaking Adult fare, when im clearly a teenager.. Had to return Parrot's taxi fare which was the hardest part, cos i already had no money for myself. Then, we went to this restaurant called " The Cafe Cartel" .. Blew 16 dollars on some rack of ribs. Which was not really not satisfying, cos it wasn't filling enough.. 

Actually, as stated in the menu, the ribs cost 13+ dollars. The inclusion of GST made my jaws drop. Was really, "oh crap, i do not have enough money for it.." Then here i go, borrowed a dollar from PArrot.. NOW i still owe him money, which i was trying not to. >.<" 

I feel so poor after that outing with parrot. Like i really blown 70 dollars into nothing.. REally terrible of me.. Sigh * im not rich you know..*

Out with Parrot aka Wes.
Headed to Wheelock, visited the Mac shop there, then went to take a sit.
Chit chatted:) When all of a sudden, Wes was like, OMG, it Mr Goh..
We both dashed to the opposite direction and escaped from wheelock.

Then, we really had nothing to do. So over to the cinema, planning if we wanted to catch a movie, but we weren't interested. OMG, i want to watch "My bloody valentines!!" Bllody hell looks SCARY..

Anyway, nothing really much to do over at Orchard. Seems like the same old thing every visit there. Then off we go for Dinner at Pepper Lunch..!
Gosh, i really love the food there. I only ate there twice so far. Had this salmon pepper rice thingy. When the waiter brought it over, i was like, SHIT, did u order the wrong kind.. Because it was RAW. I dislike raw, tried it, and didnt like the goo-ee and chewy feel in my mouth.
But anyway, once i flipped the salmon over and over again, it was not raw any more. Thank goodness.

Btw, wes's Beef looked so uncook.. Lol.
Somehow, i was complaining i was hungry.. Damn. Then Wes commented that i have a BIG stomach. Hahaha! so funny.

Finished eating, we went out of Taka, to this ulu alley where there was so many trees.

And in those trees were houses for Thousand of Mynah birds! Would you believe, we walked under that stretch of road, and after i say, Wes, there is bird shit.
A bird actually pooped on Wes's arm!!!!! SO FUNNY..

HAHAHAHHA, i cant stop laughing when i think of his reaction!! Is it good luck or bad luck for a bird shit to land on you?
I felt as though, after that shit fell on him, things were really not smooth..

I dont know what happened next, but i know, after i went to buy mos burger for my mom, he stepped on Butter.. LOL.

I mean, it is really butter.. He almost slipped.. Like after he took a step on the butter, he like "zooooot", whoa!.. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT??!

I actually saw it, but i could not stop him in time.. Sigh. I just kept laughing. Im so bad for doing so.

Overall, it was fun. Had several laughs. Even scared the shit of him in the mens room. haha!

This is really crappy. 

When i flipped open the enrollment booklet, i got struck by SP's guidelines. 

Seriously! I always thought Polys were laid back, where the "teachers" wont go chasing after you for Long hair, even FOR  wearing slippers. 

This is not the weird part. 

The school actually fines people who have long hair (for guys), people who wear slippers to school ( except with reasoning ).. 

Wth! The school is like another "fine" town on its own. You get fined $50 for doing the above stated wrong-doings.  Whats wrong with it? Like, smoking within the school's vicinity, ok, you can go put a fine on it. But SLIPPERS?? 

Maybe it is for safety purpose or something. I dont know. 

Anyway. After i read the guidelines, i was really showing my disgusted look.. Lol!

The Pink Panther 2. 

We managed to get tickets for that movie.. 10 freaking ass dollars.. 

After blowing that much money, i really did not want to buy POP CORN or any snacks to munch during the movie. What a waste!

I got to say, the movie somewhat has the same back-flashes. Like all the evidence are linked up, and thus, Inspector Jacques Clouseau , solves the case in the end, by gathering past evidence etc.

Damn, how i wished the movie hall was bigger.. >_<

I prefer the one at Kallang.. Haha.

**Almost forgot to write. After movie with Cs and Kc, i had to rushed down to 56 Tanglin Tree.

I was like .. where the hell, where the hell is that place.. Called my mom, my mom told me to wait at Tanglin shopping centre. 

Do u know that there is a Difference between Tanglin mall and Tanglin Shopping Centre?!? 

I sure did not know.

Vday dinner.

So fancy/White plates/Literally WHITE plate. 

But the food was ok. Its actually a Fixed menu. Only can choose the Main Course meal. 

But the best part of the dinner was the dessert! I dont know how to describe, but it was so filling, nothing i have ever tried, cos most of the time, i would just order Brownies for dessert.. Lol.

Was installing windows, updating, trying to get the wireless mouse to work. Phone here phone there phone everywhere. 

!6 febs/one month after release of O levels results.. Sigh

I realized my mom got really moody ever since that dinner. Tsk. 

Dont know what is going on. 

17,18,19,20.. My life past by. 

18th February/video chat with Parrot/slept at 5am after playing Audition for a while.. 

Sigh. The next day (19th), my eyes hurt like HELL. I regretted staying up till so late.. :( 

Like someone boxed my eye, got that "or chi" (bruise) feel. 

... My poor eyes. Got to stop playing/using the computer. Ever since the time i got the computer, i have glued to the chair in front of the laptop, with eyes trained on the screen..! Sigh. 

Windows i feel, is really sucky. My opinion though. Hate it. I feel in danger every time i use windows. Later the entire com's hardware crash.. "choi".. TOUCH WOOD!!! 

Then like yesterday, the stupid windows keep saying got ERROR, then restarted on its own, then it was doing this scan on the files.. ARh.. I thought "ke na" virus.. 

Happened twice some more. 

Oh, i can modify my Blog template on Windows better than on Mac. :P

Now, i can on the spot change and see the colour-changed on my blog straight away.. ^^

Overall, I still very unsafe when im windows. Tsk. My fear of virus.. 

New MacBook Pro!

Been to Funan Centre like 4 times within yesterday and today.. -.-"

I mean, it's actually because of a "faulty" MacBook.

At first it wasnt any big deal.

Bought it. Brought it home, Install RAM. 

Tried to switch it on. Beeping sounds were heard. 

So called Apple help. 

The person say there could be a problem with the memory? Forgotten what he said.

Anyway, he stated we

 could go back to the shop to exchange for a NEW one, because, we DESERVE to own a good working conditioned computer. 

Hung up

Went to Unscrew the laptop, double checked to see if RAM was installed properly. Unfortunately, it wasn't fitted properly. So took it out, then placed it back in. 

Screw all the screws back. 

I unscrewed and screwed like 16 times.. And im getting really sick of it.. So finally, i had the cover on, switched it on again.. The beeping sound came on again.. =.=" 

So here we go, headed back to Funan Centre. Asked the technician to help fix it. 

Ok ok.. I got to admit, i didnt install the RAM properly. Cos it was supposed to pop out, but ours were jammed.. Shit!!

Then, after the technician got the RAM inserted right, he went on to start the computer on.. 

This time no Beeping ass sound.. 

He ran the Hardware test, "found no problems"..

Happy customer, we went back home.. I was really eager to start using it, etc.

~~ 1 hour + later.

WTF.. The Keyboard doesnt work.. >.<" 

Cant type our wireless board band's password. Cant do anything.. 

~~ Following day, Went back to Funan Centre early in the morning. 

Told them the keyboard didnt work. Made a big fuss. TSK. 

Anyway, here i am. Blogging with the new MacBook Pro!!

Phobia on CHINESE new year.

What does the word Phobia mean in the English dictionary?

Phobia - Abnormal fear or great dislike. 

I believe majority of us have phobias be it a fear of heights, spiders, tight spaces or even clowns and pickles. 

What does phobia got to do with CHINESE new year you ask? 

Im fearful of having to speak chinese, knowing my chinese is lower than the backside. 

My chinese background isn't rock hard, and neither have i ever passed any major chinese exams - PSLE, N levels, O levels- maybe once or twice during school papers, thats all! 

Thus, i have developed chinese-tro-phobia (my own creation), it only occurs in 1 000 000 000 000 people and that someone is ME.. 

(Is there that many people on Earth even?)LOL..

Some more, majority of my cousins speak chinese. Those among their 20s, they speak English to me, because they know Chinese and I do not mix well. HAHAHA

Then there was this China dude, one of my cousins' husband, came over to speak to me.. 

(this where the fun begins.. :P).

During the whole conversation with him, i was literally struggling with my chinese pronunciation and my answers. So part of the conversation, you may hear like English words inserted in my sentences.. Thank god he understand A bit of English, because he also a businessman.. 

Then there was this particular question he asked, and i found hilarious. 

Him : So, what type sports you like?

Me : Oh, i like to play Basketball 

( i said this because it is the commonly used and easiest to say. " Lan Qiu".. )

Him : Orh, Ah, "Lan Qiu". I like tennis ( he said tennis in chinese and i didnt understand)

Me : What?

Him : Tennis ( this time in English )

Me : Orrh.. Yes yes.. 

~~~ ( he paused for a while.. )

Him : So, what other sports you also like to play? 

Me : ( I wanted to say Badminton in Chinese, but epic failure, and a total different meaning) So i mumbled "mei mao qiu", cos i didnt know the exact name. 

Him : "shen Ma?"  ( what in English ) 

Me : Saying a bit louder this time, "mei mao qiu" ... 

( "mei mao qiu" means like "no hair ball"... )

So after a while he left to eat.. And i was left alone, relieved.

The same day, went home, and asked myself what Badminton was in Chinese, and i finally figured it out!!

So thats my Chinese-tro-phobia moment, where i thought i would be slammed for not knowing how to speak chinese. Phew. 

Yay!! 

( But i can tell you that i can read better than i speak or write.. :P )

Never had i taken a photo in the morning. 

This morning was kinda special, and weird all put together..

It is actually the sun's first rays that spilled over the East side of Singapore at around 645 am or earlier. 

The right side of the pic is East.. LOL 

You can see below that the lights by the roads are still switched on. 

Although i didnt get shots of the sun actually rising, at least its the view from my room..

First time in ages, woke even before sunrise, and staying awake till the now.. 

(ps : my camera settings were hay wire. Cant capture a more stable clearer picture.)

Anyway, my burden to update is done.. Wuahahahaaaaaaah

CNY '09 came and went, but it actually last for 15 days. 

What i experienced was somewhat different from other years. Almost every year, without fail, my sis and i would stay over at my Grandma's house till the next day, the second day of CNY. First day is Reunion, day after is gathering. And so on. 

This year was different though. As we grew older, our minds and body develop. And through that period of time, i somehow didnt "like" staying over. Simply because, it isn't LIKE home! The cable TV subscriptions are lacking, internet, our beds and the list goes on for a while. Maybe it was because the fact, i hate sleeping, cramped up, and the environment is totally awkward. I remember once, when we were sleeping over, i woke up in the mids of my sleep approximately 3am, and there was these weird voices i hear, and it scared the hack out of me. It sounded like ghosts..! Some more, there was this eerie soft lighting, that poured into the room. Making it more Ghostly.. 

Anyway, it was a tradition you know. Every year, we would reluctantly pack our clothes and head for Grandma's house. This year was not the same. We just did not want to stay. Of course, it was a change of settings. 

Feeling extremely sluggish after watching LOTRs on DVD, i was SO tired.. My mom made us wake up at like 8 am just to get ready. Phew. Got there 1130 am. Almost everyone had arrived.. 

I loved this year's way. 

Oh well. What was surprisingly strange was how my grandma behaved. She was like not as Excited as previous years. Was it because........

This year was unlike many other years. I am the youngest of my generation, im becoming a young UNCLE!! Wtfzzzzzzz.

I finally graduated. Almost finished with schooling so to speak. Awwww.

Now a whole new generation of youth has seen its light. There were so many children la.. Keep effing till so many babies.. 

Wa lau.. And i have a feeling my young cousins are going to be DAMN smart!! 

The parents are like teaching them all sort of things.. 

Sigh. I just feel empty. Like there was nothing special, not that burst of live we usually had.. Tsk.

No one even snapped a single photo! Maybe i should have, but i didnt bring along my camera. 

Omg, today i suddenly felt the feeling of being "lonely". Awww man.. 

Its so sad.. 

I cant explain it all. And im Ever more lazy to type and describe. 

Its finally over. The crowdedness down at chinatown is ceasing!! YES!

Damn, chinatown is bloody busy when it draws closer to CNY. So silly. 

Make me dont have the mood to even shop.. Except i wouldn't mind buying "red bean mochi".

So sticky to rub and squeeze your way through.. Wa seh, it is one those time of the year i really dislike most. =.="

Makes the CNY spirit drop.

Oh yes! before i forget. I ate like a $6 abalone today la! I dont believe its so EX....! 

My aunt cooked some for us, and i went over to pick it up.. Thank goodness no one rob me for the abalone! That was simply the BEST tasting Abalone ever!!! 

Even the abalone on the reunion dinner wasn't that great.

My aunt is such a good cook.. 

Cant believe the abalone each costed $6.. Its like zzzZZzzz.. 

This, i can say, liven my spirit.. 

One more thing. My cousin was also talking to me regarding the poly course etc. 

I got to say it is kind of weird to be talking about that. Because like i was also the small and young boy, and never did they talk to me about school stuff. I mean, last time, it all seemed so unimportant. But now, it is involving my life! 

Alrighty then. I can't recall much right now. Really tired. 

Oh, yesterday( or maybe the day before?), i spent almost like freaking 5 hours trying to download AudtionSEA! 

F**K. 

Stayed up till like 4 in the morning. 

Wasted my bloody ass time! 

So it didnt work during that time, so i planned to get up at 8am to re-try downlaoding. 

YES.. Was downloading till 48% when i itching hand go want to try download MSN live!

Then After i realised that the download for AuditionSEA disappeared.. OMFGZ

Made me so furious!! Waited for so LONG!!! Oh well, the windows experience SUCKED..! Mac is way way way better! Much easier to use, without having to fiddle around, trying to make sure i get it right.. ARGH.. 

Sold the windows, and im happy with the old mac :)

I decided to pull out my Sec 2 science textbook. 

I wanted to see what i learnt during those days, and how much i have matured.

Ever had situations when you suddenly rolled up into a ball, grasping hard onto your foot, eyes tightly shut, trying to focus the pain away from the toe that had just banged into some stationary object?

And i experienced it, the weird way. Somehow, after i knocked my toe against the wooden leg of a table.

And before i know it, i was sitting on the floor, squeezing the life out of my feet's tiny toe.

Whats funny was, i kept laughing. 

I was literally laughing while crying out in pain.

Clutching to my poor, bloody little toe, i slowly manoeuvred on my ASS, to quickly take a snapshot of the bloody toe.. :(

I mean, u may say its only a TINY matter.. 

Well, its not.

I hate Bumping my toes into stupid objects. Damn, really got to look where i walk..

Plus, i was over at my grandma's house for a visit, which meant, i had to wear my socks, then put on my shoes. 

And thats when the pain came back.. I bundled my tiny toe with soft tissue, but later found that it was a tight fit, and when i tried to walk - because it was so tight-, the shoe kept rubbing the toe, and it hurt real bad!

Whimper in pain. 

Then, had to take of my shoe slowly, and carefully remove the shoe.. Sigh.. untied the shoe lace, etc..

That was it. 

I was asking for a slipper so i can walk home with.. But i asked for a plaster.

Thats the end of the so called story..

I didnt go into detail, because i am EXTREMELY lazy to type it all out.

I also have a photo of the bloody toe.. But i guess ill wait till next time to post it.. 

But you know what. 

It isn't so much to complaint about, other people are also much more in pain..
